Formanta - Polivoks

The Polivoks is called "The Russion Minimoog" , it's an analog synthesizer produced on the Russian Federation between 1982 and 1990. In these days this synth has become very poppular for his sound and as "cheap" alternative to the most typical vintage synthesizers ( Moog Minimoog , ARP Oddisey , Korg MS-20 ... ) . The sound of its filter is very appreciated and several clones of it can be found ( mostly for modular synthesizers )

  Ever so often I'll get a comment or email about how I refer to it as "built like a tank".
  
  It was a bad choice of words - I simply meant that it looks like a piece of military equipment. Physically, it's no more solid than an Arp Odyssey.
