Moog Realistic Concertmate MG-1 [HQ]

• During the last few days I've been restoring this Moog Realisitic Concertmate MG-1 and now the synth is like new. The Moog MG-1 is basically a Moog Rogue with a polyphonic section, it has 2 VCO , 1 LFO with S&H , 1 AR envelope , noise,ring modulator and a genuine Moog filter. The sound is amazing and you can get a lot of different kind of sounds from deep basses to soft leads and brass sounds.
  On this video i'm just showing a few of sounds that can be created on moment with this little synth

Sound comparative : Moog Minimoog - Moog Prodigy

This video shows an interesting sound comparative between the Moog Minimoog and its little brother the Moog Prodigy. To my ears the Prodigy sounds brighter but the Minimoog has warmer sound. If you think that on the second hand market a Moog Prodigy costs 1/4 of the price of a Minimoog it's not a bad choice to buy a Prodigy and save the difference to buy other equipment ( please don't kill me for saying this )

Moog - Memorymoog

The Moog Memorymoog was the last synth released by Moog until its come back to the business on the last decade. It's a six voice analog synthesizer with 3 oscillators per voice, 24db low-pass filter, LFO, 100 memories and more... One amazing thing is that all six voices can be stacked in unison mode so you can have 18 VCOs at the same time!!!!

It's a monophonic synthesizer with presets, which can be changed (filter, modulation, LFO, envelope). The filter sounds great, although it's not the famous 24 db Moog filter. Studio Techniques - Envelope Follower

An envelope follower it's a circuit that creates an envelope based on the amplitude of an input signal. It's commonly used in vocoders ( to create an envelope based on the speech signal ) but normally this feature is overlooked by user because it's made internally.
It's a very useful tool because allows the machines to interact with the real world. This video by MoogMusicInc shows how to create rhythmic filter patters based on a drum track. The envelope follower detects the amplitude of the signal and transforms it on a control signal that can be connected to a filter control input so the filter cut-off will response rhythmically.

Studio Techniques - 1v/oct

Much of the analog synthesizers works with the standard 1v/oct in control signals. This means for example, that increasing 1 volt in the control signal, the pitch on the VCO will be 1 octave higher. • JH from Dirty Hospital skips lunch to batter down a version of 'The Chase'. The Mac is firing out MIDI clock to the Kenton Pro 2, which is sending arpeggio clock to the Roland SH-101 and DIN sync to the Roland MC-202. The Roland TR-606 is taking sync from the 202. The 202 is also going through the Holy Grail pedal by Electro Harmonix, on the excellent 'Flerb' setting. And of course the bassy goodness comes from the Moog Prodigy. Recorded into Ableton, with a smidgen of compression over the mix. John enjoyed a bigger than normal tea that evening.
