Sequential Circuits - Pro-One

  • Brand : Sequential Circuits
  • Model : Pro-One
  • Year : 1981
  • Technology : Analog
  • Synthesis Method : Subtractive
  • Polyphony : Monophonic

SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS PRO ONE - HQ demo VINTAGE SYNTHESIZER 1981

Text from the video :
  • The Pro One is a very great sounding monophonic synthesizer. The sound architecture is very similar to the Prophet-5.

Also it has an ARPEGGIATOR and a great little sequencer. You can transpose the sequences on the keyboard.

On this video, sometimes I used Lexicon MPX-500 and Roland DEP-5 for reverb and delay.

Sequential Circuits Prophet 5

The Prophet 5 was one of the first polyphonic synthesizers. With five voices, allow to keyboard players to play chords, and also save sounds into the internal memory. These features make this synth perfect for live performance. The Prophet 5 has also unison mode, so you can stack all 5 voices in one to make a very fat sound (10 oscillator synthesizer!!! ). Its sound become very popular in the 80ths ,and his pads can be heard in a lot of albums

  • I'm speechless... this synth is beautiful! Awesome! Amazing!...

Audio is 20% coming from the camera (stereo) and 80% coming direct from the synth.

Synthesizer performance

Stellar nursery part 1

Stellar nursery part 2

Stellar nursery part 3

Stellar nursery part 4

Text from the video :
  • After Craig Padilla & Skip Murphy had viewed a few "Mr. Hands on synths" videos on YouTube, they decided to elaborate on that concept. They invited their friend and cameraman, Bart Hawkins, to help create a video showcasing a live performance on their numerous vintage analog and digital synths. Padilla and Murphy had not performed together with most of their synthesizers for a few years, and they were still plugging in their instruments when Hawkins arrived! This video is the end result, and is a lot of fun to view and hear! It's available on their CD release "ANALOG DESTINATION" which is due for release in 2008 on the GROOVE label from the Netherlands!

Due to the track's length of time (28 MINUTES!), the track is divided into four parts.

    Enjoy the music!
